Twilight...
My niece has read all the books and just loves them. So she loaned me the first book in the series "Twilight". I had read it was written by a Mormon Mom and that she was being compared to J.K. Rowling. Well, let me say I couldn't even finish the book. I HATED IT !! Her style of writing is so weak and she doesn't build her characters up. The heroine is always in distress and acts as if she doesn't have a brain in her head. Also it seems to lack some originality to it. There is a old movie out there where a roaming group of vampires has one of its own fall in love with a human male. Then she has to protect him from her vampire family. Sound familiar ????
So I am probably one of the few that finds these series of books to be well...pure crap.
Tell me your thoughts. I can take it if you totally disagree just be nice about it.

I LOVED Twilight and I read the rest of the series. I am one of those people that fell in love with Edward Cullen and believes that he is real and will become their own boyfriend.
I am not one to look into a books writing style--it was a nice easy read for me that took me out of my own crazy life... I was all about Edward and still am. ha!
I have not read the book but Calle is devouring it. She is about 90 pages from finishing it and we went out and bought the second in the series this afternoon.
Calle finished the book, she read about 200 pages today. It was great seeing her head in a book!!! She said she will wait to start book two till tomorrow cause her eyes hurt!!! LOL!! And for the record, she did not like the Harry Potter series but loves these!
I haven't read them, and Amanda told me I probably wouldn't like them. the storyline doesn't appeal to me, and there are so many other books to read...
