The final countdown..
Well, can you believe that 2008 is coming to an end. Wow, the years seem to fly by and while each year my children age I do too. WAH !!
Do you ever go back and look at your blog entries from previous years ? It is kinda fun and can be funny. Just to see what you might be thinking about then or what craziness is going on in your life.
Hope you all have a great 2009 and that it is just darn good to you and yours.

Giving Thanks..
Today many of us gather with family and friends to partake in a grand meal of turkey, stuffing, and pumpkin pie.
I hope as we sit their we say a prayer for those that do not have the luxury to have a Thanksgiving. They maybe sitting in a shelter, the place they ran to when they could not take the beatings anymore, or in their car because they were evicted and no one will let them stay with them. Or the babes that are in NICU because they were born addicted to drugs and they little bodies are going through withdrawls. Or the elderly left in resting homes that their family has forgotten about because it was easier than facing them or caring for them. Or those that have forgiveness in their heart and those that forgive do not have it in theirs.
Sigh...it can be sad during this time of year and it can live deep inside a heart.
Say a prayer for those whose day will not be a day of thanks and maybe you can do something to brighten it too.
God Bless us all...

Another Open House
Tomorrow another open house. A second one since our house went on the market. The first one was a dud. Only one person showed up and that was to compare their house to ours. I am getting very discouraged. Just tired of keeping the house clean for basically no one to see it. Also having to lower our price. I understand our economy is in the toilet and that housing is taking a beating. All I am asking is to have one person walk through our front door and make a offer.

House Selling Blues....
Our house has been on the market for 66 days. So as an ode to the house selling blues I will list things that have made me blue about selling....
1. De cluttering my house
2. Cleaning out my closet
3. Cleaning behind my fridge
4. Re arranging furniture
5. Paying a lot of money to have my bathrooms updated
6. Keeping my house clean ALL the time
7. Only having 2 showings
8. One of the showings person loved the house not a big enough yard
9. Yelling at my kids to keep the house clean
10. Cleaning up after my dogs daily
11. Scooping poop out of the back yard
12. Cleaning the litter box
13. Seeing fliers being taken but no showings
14. Not able to get the house I REALLY want
15. Lowing the price
We will keep it on the market. Our contract is for 6 months which puts it up in March.
Sigh.......

Twilight...
My niece has read all the books and just loves them. So she loaned me the first book in the series "Twilight". I had read it was written by a Mormon Mom and that she was being compared to J.K. Rowling. Well, let me say I couldn't even finish the book. I HATED IT !! Her style of writing is so weak and she doesn't build her characters up. The heroine is always in distress and acts as if she doesn't have a brain in her head. Also it seems to lack some originality to it. There is a old movie out there where a roaming group of vampires has one of its own fall in love with a human male. Then she has to protect him from her vampire family. Sound familiar ????
So I am probably one of the few that finds these series of books to be well...pure crap.
Tell me your thoughts. I can take it if you totally disagree just be nice about it.
